There is a speed increase, notably when copying large number of files,
and backing up to tape drive.

With recent DRAM price increase, 1mb x 4 DRAMs 80ns are up to $23 for one
now, with some stores selling as high as over $40 (I need to upgrade
the prices on the TWGS/Zip upgrade Mini-FAQ...).  SRAMs are not affected
as much.
