I've heard bad things about DS, although I can't personally comment, not
having seen it.  I believe AudioZap 2.x supports DS, or will soon (Ian?)
so you might consider paying the shareware fee for the 1.x version and get
the upgrade to 2.x.

Well, AWGS v2.0 was recently announced.  So you might consider waiting for
that.  Otherwise, there's GraphicWriter 2.x?? (3.0?) and older versions of
AWGS.
