IIe, Hard Drive, PRODOS, etc
Having installed a HD with PRODOS 8 on my wife's IIe, I'm confronted
with her need to run protected software from a floppy drive.
Specifically, we placed the IDE controller in slot 7 so that PRODOS
would boot from the HD. However, we cannot make the system boot from
either floppy in this configuration. Further, we cannot install "Bank
Street Writer" because BSW.OBJ uses some sort of copy protection.
The next approach was to place the IDE controller in Slot 4 and boot
from the floppy. Even booting PRODOS, we cannot get the system to
recognize /HD1 and /HD2 on the HD.
What solutions have escaped us?
