Uh, I think there's a law that says something like if you don't enforce
your copyright/patent, then people can just use it. It's to prevent people
from preventing access to certain things by others. So, in this case, it would
not be illegal. I would advise the original poster to get a letter in writing
that they are not willing to sell it to you (and also check up _my_ statement!
;-))
Really, there's no need to jump up and down screaming copyright
infringement everytime this happens. Also, your analogy about the warehouse is
slightly off as copyright applies to ideas and words, intangible things,
whereas stealing from a warehouse is not taking intangible things.
