Shadowwrite 1.32 and ss6.0.1

I am having a problem with the nda shadowwrite 1.32.  I'm running on
a 4Meg Rom01 GS, booted from an appleshare3.0 server.  The GS 'kinda'
locks up when I choose Show ruler.  I can load files etc., but I
don't know just how many functions work yet.  I've tried 3 times now.
The first 2 by doubling clicking a (large) text file.  The 3rd time by
opening shadowwrite from the apple menu.  I can work with it until I
choose show ruler, then the machine stops accepting mouse clicks or 
keypresses.  I can move the arrow cursor around, but nothing else.  Only
a <ctrl-rest> to reboot gets the machine going again.  

I remember trying sw1.3.2 in ss6.0, and the ruler worked, but this is the
first time I have probably tried it under ss6.0.1.  I can't recall for sure.
Anyway, I don't recall others saying it doesn't work under ss6.0.1, so does
anyone have any idea what maybe wrong.  The only system change I've made
recently was the nda TypeSet.  I'll try without it.  Any other suggestions?
