The Manager and 6.0.1

I posted this two weeks ago, but we've been having network problems and
I don't think it made it out. Anyway, to recap:

Has anyone else had problems using The Manager with System 6.0.1?
  
Two things I've noticed. Firstly, using a second program the redraws of
file listings in the Open and Save file windows are very slow by 6.0
standards.
  
Secondly, if I validate The Manger file while in the Finder or Prosel 16
it shows no errors. But if I validate it from the Finder while TM is 
active, I get errors reported. Any one else replicate this? I don't 
remember it happening in 6.0 at all.
