I think ShrinkIt //gs 1.1 only works with system 6.0 or later.  You should
be able to find older versions on grind.icsa.uiowa.edu.

There is a one disk specifically designed for floppy users.  It's on 
ftp.apple.com:dts/aii somewhere...  Called system.disk I think.
