File conversion

Can someone please tell me how I can convert AppleWorks GS (Word Processor)
files, to Word for Windows..
(As far as I can work out, i'd just save them as text, then upload them to a
PC...)


Also, I need to convert AppleWOrks GS (Data Base) files to Exel, I have NO 
idea how to do this, as I'm not familiar with either packages...
