Hello, my name is Mike Young, and I
run a national, by-mail Apple II
computer club. Below you will find
some club info and an application.
Please look over this info, and if
interested join our club. Also, we'd
appreciate it if you would spread this
message around through other clubs,
bbs's, etc,. Thanks!

Hello! Thanks for your interest!
Here's your chance to become a part of
the hottest and fastest growing
computer club that totally supports
your Apple II! Read on for more
information.

APPLE SOFTWARE - IT'S HARD TO FIND!

We know how hard it has become these
dyas to find good, or any, software for
your Apple II computer. Most of the
computer shops around town only
support, as you probably know, IBM and
Macintosh. Unfortunately, even if you
do find a few Apple II titels, the
prices are outrageous! So what should
all we loyal Apple users do? Buy an
IBM? Buy a Macintosh? Well, we don't
think so! There is a better solution:
The American Public Domain Club.
Through our club, you will have FREE
access to our collection of dozens of
software packed public domain and
shareware disks!

WHAT IS PUBLIC DOMAIN AND SHAREWARE?

Public domain programs are programs
donate by various programmers for all
to use for free. All users can freely
copy the programs and pass them on to
friends.

Shareware programs are ones we
distribute for the programmers. When
you receive the software, you decide
whether or not it is useful. If you do
decide it is worthwhile, you should
register the disk with its author for
a small fee (Usually $5 to $30). When
you register with its author, they
usually send you notification,updates,
new information, printed manuals,
etc,. We don't have affiliation with
the programmers, nor do we send them
our members names. The decision to
register is up to you. (By the way,
if you don't trust yourself, DON'T
WORRY! In our software lisiting, all
of the shareware programs are labeled
so. You won't be tricked into
anything!)

COMPATIBILITY?

All of our software, unless otherwise
noted, will work on any Apple II, II+,
IIe, IIc, IIc+, IIgs, and compatibles.
Some titles will require more memory,
80 column capabilities, etc,. All extra
requirements will be noted next to the
disk title in the listing.

WHAT'S THE COST? HOW DO WE GET THE
SOFTWARE?

The cost to join the American Public
Domain Club is only $4 PER YEAR.
That's it! Only $4 a year gives you
access to our wonderful library of
software.

For awhile, we questioned ourselves,
how should we send the software? By
modem? By mail? We decided to operate
through the mail. Modem communication
is faster and easier, but
long-distance online charges can really
add up after awhile. Besides, not
every Apple owner has a modem! There
are three basic ways to obtain copies
of our disks through the mail.

A. You select which titles you want
and then send in your blank disks to
us. We'll quickly copy the disks
and promptly return them to you.

B. You select which titles you want
and then send us $1.00 for every
disk. We'll copy the titles on our
own blank disks and send them to you.

C. You select which titles you want
and then send us a list. We'll send
you the disks to copy for yourselves.
After 2 weeks, you send our originals
back. You can choose no more than 10
titles at a time with this option.

** There is a $2.00 shipping charge on
all options.

IS THERE ANY OTHER SUPPORT?

Absolutely. Every two months, we'll
send you a copy of the APDC Journal.
That's our on disk club newsletter that
contains information on news in the
Apple world, new software to our club,
new products, announcements of club
discounts, articles covering the field
of computers, free classified ads, a
BBS list, and anything else our club
members wish to contribute. In
addition to information, the on-disk
newsletter also contaiins some the
latest shareware along with demos of
popular commercial program! APDC
also communicates with other Apple II
clubs around the country to spread both
ideas and fun! More knowledgeable
members who wish to volunteer will be
designated to cover certain topics
pertaining to the Apple computer.
These members will give personal
support and help to other club members
having problems with their computer and
software. Overall, APDC provides total
support for your Apple.
