Transwarp III WAS the fastest....9 mHz, I believe, at one point.
Unforutanately, that product turned out to be illegal, because AE ripped
off the company that had pioneered //e acceleration, Rocketchip. That
left Rocketchip and Zip tech. AE still sells their putting 3.6 mHz+256K
"Transwarp" card for the //e, although a much better buy is (and the REAL
answer to your question..)
The 8 mHz variant of the Zip chip. I have one, and it runs great. Its
actually several chips sort of glued together: a small memory cache and a
jack-up-ed clock crystal. Zip tech supplies all kinds of neato software
to control how the chip communicates with slow slots, etc. I've had it in
a hot, overburdned old //e for two years and it hasn't given me any
trouble. Except playing games <grin!>
