I seem to recall several years ago that "someone" went through the same
thing and Apple allowed them to get a copy of the disks (or perhaps it
was the local dealer that just did this on their own!). Oh well, this 
seems like something that would be a good jesture on Apple's part and
wouldn't cost them a thing.
