Yeah...this happened to me a while back, with a fairly old //e. All you
need to do is soak a Q-Tip (or generic imitation....;-) in alcohol, and
swab it aroung the left side, on the inside of the drive slot. This is
where the sensor is, and it may be covered with pus/oil/dirt/dust.
Dripping alcohol should not be a problem, so don't worry. -Lone Wolf
