If I get what you're saying...  let's say you have 2 icons on the desktop,
on is "dog", the other is "doggy", you're expecting to type "d" to switch
among them?

It does not work that way, it basically works just like the standiard file
operation dialogs, you have the type "dogg" to get to "doggy", if you
type "d" serveral times, it will try to match all the "d"s.  If you try
to type "d" between some intervals, it will always match to the first "d"
icons.
