Shrink, Newbie question

Thanks for all those who replied about where to get comm programs for an
Apple IIe.  I picked up a couple of shareware comm programs from cco.caltech.edu.
The programs all had extensions .shk.  My newbie question is 'How do I unshrink
these programs?'  I looked in the util directory and found what looked like
utilities to do this, but they had extensions .bsc.  What is a .bsc file?

Any help would be appreciated.
