I bought a Ramfast rev D this spring, and a 127Mb drive from TMS.
It's running in a ROM01 GS with 4MB and an 8 Mhz Zip. Shortly
after getting it, it started having problems with directory errors.
Using Vitesse's Salvation seemed to repair things for a time, but
after three or four such incidents, it claimed to have repaired the
bitmaps, but the drive could still not be written to. I returned
the drive & Ramfast to TMS, where they did some diagnostics and
cleanup, and returned it to me. It worked fine for approximately
a week, then the problems returned.
Any suggestions as to where I go from here? TMS claims the hardware
is clean, but it hasn't been consistently usable in my system for
more than two weeks at a time. The wisdom of the net is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
