Ok. What you need to do (and there is really no way around it): Enhance your
//e. It's worth it, the newer ProDOS versions need an enhanced //e, too.
I dunno what the enhancement kit costs, you could probably also get a defect
//e and hope that the ROMs are still OK ... or something like that.

As far as I know, all the enhancement kit does is change one or two ROMs and
put in a 65C02, so it should really be cheap.
