While I'm basically opposed to advertisement on the net (and for-profit
services like GEnie or the unspeakable CI$, in general), the GEnieLamp postings
are probably higher in their signal/noise than the bulk of nonsense on this
newsgroup, even including all the GEnieHype and obligatory how-you-too-can-
be-sucked-in message at the end.

If we really want to save bandwidth around here, we might educate some of the
newbies (and, sadly, oldbies) on general netiquette, perhaps within the
otherwise excellent FAQ. At the moment, it seems most of the useful postings
have gone to the csa2.* subgroups while this group is left with a wash of
noise (curiously larger than all the rest combined).

(And yes, my house has occasionally been built with glass. :P  Nonetheless. )
