Shellplay crashes - why?

Hmmmmm, I can't run shellplay - it starts playing a mod but as soon as
I'm trying to do anything the superhires screen appears (happens under
ORCA shell) and the system crashes. I also cannot change any of the
settings (stereo effect etc.). I'm almost sure that it's not shellplay's
fault (it works on all other GSes), but I also have no clue which init
or program could cause this incompatibility.

(ROM 03, enuff RAM, running from hard disk, shellplay in the utilities
folder...ORCA 1.1 and shellplay .71)

Has anyone had similar problems?
