Ok, here's what the board looks like:
__________________________________________________________________
|o |______ __ _______ __ __ |
--XX | | __ | | | | | | _ | | |
| __ | | | | | | | | | | X X X X <_> |__| |
| |--| | | | | |__| | | |__| |
| |--| | 2 | |__| | | _____ |
| |--| | | | 3 | | | xxx |
| |1 | | | __ __ | | | | __ |
| |--| | | | | | | | | | 4 | | | |
| |--| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
| |__| |______| |__| |__| |_______| |_____| |__| |
|__________________________________________________________________|
|||||||||||||||||||||||
The 'o' in the upper left is a red light.
The '--XX' in the upper left is the switch that can be up or down.
The numbers correspond to:
1. dip switch (8 switches)
2. ZIF socket for 2716, 2732, 2764 EPROM
3. Motorola MC6821P chip
4. Intel D2716 chip with ("A VELCOM") on a label on the chip
The 'X X X X' on the right are resistors.
In addition to my request for help on how to make this thing work, does
anyone have an idea on how I can make it handle 27128 EPROMs? I know
someone has modified his board to handle 27128 (and it was designed to
do 2764) so this can be done.
