Taking them out is fairly simple and really doesn't require too much
technical knowledge, but be carefull putting them back in!  I badly
mangled the pins in the "slot" where the head goes back into and had fun
trying to straighten those little pins out again.  

The wd-40 methods works well, they clean up very well this way.
