Yikes! This is the same setup that I have, and the same problem! There is
obviously some incompatibility between the Conner drive and the Apple HS SCSI
card. Now, can someone perhaps give us a hint on what that incompatibility
might be?
My best guess so far is that the Conner drive doesn't provide termination
power, and since the Apple HS SCSI card doesn't either, we have a termination
problem. Certainly my external terminator doesn't do diddly-squat, and putting
in internal termination resistors didn't help either.
I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have the data sheet on this
drive? Or has anyone had to modify a Conner drive to get it to work on a GS?
I've had my drive sitting on my desk doing nothing for months now, since I
haven't had time to use my GS until just recently. But now I'd like to get my
drive operational too so I can speed up the development cycle of my new game!
