Ah, no need. I got my G3 box running back on 10.2.8 happily now.
It's a problem with a few Java calls I'm using that were introduced in
Java 1.4 (which is supplied with OSX 10.3 on up). I'm removing the
references now.
The next task will be to see if the latest RXTX library will go that
far back. The prior version works, so there's hope. But the RXTX
build system has moved (very far) on since then. Then there's always
the question of USB adapter driver compatibility... :-)
