Very strange. CDev.Data is deleted by the HP install process, since it's
regenerated automatically by the control panel NDA (you have to delete it
to make sure everything gets updated correctly... it checks the create dates
on the files, but it's easier to just whack it).
There may be conflicts with HP and other INITs, so for now it's probably a
wise idea to be careful about compressing stuff inside the System folder.
I think CDAs, NDAs, fonts, and CDevs are probably okay, but be wary of
compressing tools... some INITs may try to use them before HP is active, and
will get upset if they can't get them.
(The one Big Disadvantage of compressing tools is that you can't boot without
HP afterward... the savings you get (about 35%) doesn't justify not being
able to shift-boot.)
