Wisdom has not been with me lately. It found out the hard way that it is
not the most appropiate way to clean my Apple IIgs with a vacuum
cleaner.
My GS had become somewhat dusty, so I decided to vacuum clean my GS. I
pulled out my Canadian made Beaumark high power suck-anything-in vacuum
cleaning machine, and begin lifting the dust that has been laying on top of
my GS keyboard. To my astounishment, my <CLEAR> key on the keypad was
sucked into the vaccuum machine and was tore into several pieces.
My logic must be flawed to think of using a vaccum machine on a
computer. Looking at my keyboard without a key made me feel a sense of loss
as if my beloved GS is now physically challenged.
The moral of the story: Do not vaccuum clean your computer, especially on
lose parts.
If anyone has a disfunctional GS keyboard and wouldn't mind pulling off the
<CLEAR> key and send it to me, I will offer my eternal gratitude for your
generosity.
Please reach me by email. Thank you.
