In terms of bugginess or lack of features?  The former, I think.

The AppleWorks GS spreadsheet is the most powerful one I've
encountered on an Apple II.  The database is also the best one I've
come across (though I haven't seen DB Master Pro, which is difficult
to get hold of, if it is available at all).

I agree entirely on the Comms module.
