I believe it is the other way around. If you have already installed
System 6.0, then installing AppleWorks GS will cause problems.
I think the AppleWorks GS installer scripts replace some components of
System 6 with the corresponding files for System 5.0, which causes no
end of trouble. I can't check the script at the moment, because I'm
in ProDOS-8 and the script files have a resource fork.
When I got AppleWorks GS (after System 6.0), I copied all of the files
onto the hard drive by hand, not using the Installer, and I've had no
problems.
