Apple II Joyport

I'm toying with the idea of making a "game controller" for my GS that will
basically consist of push buttons mounted on the side of my keyboard to give
my pinball games more of a true pinball feel (Ok... so I'm an addict... and 
real pinball is ILLEGAL in my city [don't ask!])

So... can anyone give me the pinout for the joyport (9 pin) and inform me
of any possible caveats or special wiring needed for this (I was just thinking
of wiring the +5v thru the switches to the inputs on the port... possibly even
making the unit flow thru, so the joystick will work normally and concurrently)
