Hmm. At least now I know that it is -supposed- to issue error messages. Yet
I get only the twirly cursor. Not even that startup string you mention.

No, a short program I wrote (contained one code line: a printf()) wouldn't do
anything unless _INITGNOSTDIO was used, in which case it would work in both
GNO and ORCA 2.0
