Advice: MicroFazer PrintBuffer

       QUADRAM MICROFAZER EXTERNAL PRINT-BUFFER:  QUESTIONS

Two of my favorite printers are parallel daisy wheels, whcih are relatively
slow.  Recently I bought a used Microfazer external print-buffer (128K) by
Quadram.  This is a rectangular box the size of a modem which frees the
computer operations while the printer slowly completes its work.

(1) Does anyone have the owner's manual for the Microfazer?  I have written
to the manufacturer but I am not optomistic because the Quadram Co. uses a
"900" high toll phone line for tech support.

(2) The Microfazer can operate from power supplied by the printer, but it
also has a barrel-plug socket for a DC 9v power souce.  Polarity (positive-
tip vs. negative-tip) is not stated;  DOES ANYONE KNOW THE RECOMMENDED
TIP-POLARITY ON THIS DC INPUT?  I have blown several cassette players in the
past with the wrong polarity, so I want to get this done right!

(3) TheMicrofazer works good but the "pause" button does not make the
printing pause.  Would appreciate advice on how to get it to pause. It has
two front-panel buttons with neons:  "Reset" which works;  and "pause/copy,"
which triggers a second copy of the buffer contents but which does not make it
pause.

The unit appears to get in excellent condition, and 128K of RAM chips are
inside (I already peeked).

Advice from anyone familiar with the Quadram Microfazer will be greatly
