One more question about scan lines...

  Okay, having read Tech Note #39 on Mega II Video Counters, I have only
one more question about determining which scan line is currently being
drawn, which is this:

  The Tech Note gives the range of values for the vertical counter in NTSC
and PAL modes (250-511 and 200-511 respectively).  It also informs me that
line 256 is the first line of the actual screen display in NTSC mode, but
it doesn't give a value for PAL mode!
  So does anyone know what the value is for PAL mode?
