set MODE_PARANOIA ON :)

Being too lazy to open up my IIGS or my RamFast's manual, let me ask this:
does the RamFast automatically recognize the new ram as it is put in, or are
there some jumpers? What about verifying the ram chips? I'd hate to buy new
ram, and trust my hard drive to it, and find out the hard way that one chip
was defective...

Also, this is 4 1MB *4 chips, right? I'm not an Electronics Engineer, so
I'd like to make double-sure before I buy. In addition, are the ram chips
easily recognizable so that I'll know which ones to yank off without replacing
some support chips with ram? :)

set MODE_PARANOIA OFF

Thanks in advance,

Nathan
