are you talking about using the installer, or just copying it? i've
copied it onto my hard drive several times since i've installed system 6,
and i've had no ill effects. i've never used the installer to put it on,
though. it's easier to copy AWGS by hand anyway.
i switched from old appleworks with the release of multiscribe gs 1.0, and
i've never looked back. the only 8-bit program i use on even an
occasional basis is proterm, and i'm doing most of my communication from
my powerbook these days. (my gs won't fit on my lap while i'm sitting in
bed.)

i don't let prosel touch my machine if i can avoid it. with a user
interface that bad, i wonder about the internals. (if i'd wanted an ibm,
i would have bought one. i own apples.)
