The other part of that rule: if /RAM is not present, and you have a
128k machine, then the program isn't allowed to use the areas of the
language card that are marked as "reserved", but can use the main 48k
bank.  I don't know which (if any) P8 programs support this
configuration.  I suspect that most major applications would refuse to
run.

A possible problem here is bank-switching auxiliary slot cards (such
as RamWorks).  You couldn't make a P8 call while an additional bank
was switched in, unless P8 knew how to deal with the card, or was
patched accordingly.
