My guess: there isn't enough space left in the language card to
implement ANY support for files with resource forks.
I would have thought that read-only support wouldn't take much code,
but it really is tight - they had to go to 65C02 instructions to be
able to fit the Smartport drive remapping code in 2.0.
Hey, maybe a IIgs-only patch to P8? :-)
