And one more on sending shareware fees Overseas.

In the US, banks charge an outrageous service charge to cash European cheques.

When sending Money to the US it makes sense to use a Credit Card, but most
Shareware Authors can't/don't accept Credit Cards.

So all the Shareware Fees paid by Shareware users ended up in the Bankers
Till, not very fair on the Shareware users & FTA.

It's possible to send an International Money Order to the US, this is also
very expensive.

It's also possible to get a US cheque (check??) is US funds sent from a
US bank and to pay the German Mark equivalent here, you also have to pay
a VERY LARGE service charge for both the German and the US bank.

Sending money to another country in Europe is easy and not expensive.

There is a European Cheques system, costs about 1.2% to send a cheque
anywhere in Europe, quite reasonable.

It's also possible to do a Money Transfer, ( which is normal practice
in Germany, about 90% of transactions are done this way ). European
transfert aren't too expensive, but the cost rises sharply when the
money needs to be transfered to the US.

Exactly the same conclusion, but in the other direction, Europe to US.
In the end its Credit card or nothing, the Creadit card does work Very well.
