Dennis - you mention that you get a shareware request message on Photonix. 
Suggest you be careful on more than the bucks.  Early/late/recent Photonix
has/had a counter connected to the battery ram that kept going up with each
use, even tho the computer was turned off from time to time.  I never heard
of anyone getting shot by his computer because of the counter reaching a
specific number, but I was always scared of it and therefore never used it.
