David's Midnight Magic, by David Snider.  A game design and Apple II
programming genius IMO.  He also wrote one or two other classics, including
Serpentine (right?).  Simple looking games, but they had spirit.

Last I heard of Mr. Snider was the Atari 2600 version of DMM released in
the mid to late 80s.  He probably didn't have anything to do with it.
