Your subject line says '9500 baud _without_ modem' but also seems to mean
without serial port, since you could just connect serial ports without a
modem and transfer at 19,200. OF course you would have to have a serial
card for the //e and some kind of comm. software on each end, but it would
be better than going though the game ports.
Of course, if it's important that a serial port not be required, then the
game port would work. This reminds me of the game port printer driver of
yore...
