I heard that there was a card that was supposed to come out called the 
Liberty card, that would allow you to connect those IBM-compatible disk 
drives to an Apple II.  Does anyone know when or if this is going to be 
availiable?

As for "stealing" and IBM hard drive and putting it on a IIgs, it 
shouldn't be a problem, unless the drive uses a non-standard interface.  
If it's a SCSI or IDE drive, you can connect it to the IIgs, but you will 
need to purchase the proper interface card.
