Re: IIgs memory cards in IIe case



If you cut a bit of the front corner off of a Sequential Systems
card, it'll fit.  There's no circuitry on that part of the card--just
+5V and ground planes inside the card.  You'll probably want to put a
small piece of electrician's tape on the inside of the lid, over the
cut...the dark coating of the lid is conductive.  (Fires have started
because of insufficient grounding of power traces...a letter appeared
in Nibble a few years ago where someone's IIe caught on fire because
the power traces on top of his RamWorks were shorted out by the
stiffening ridge on the underside of the lid.  When I had a RamWorks
in my machine, I ran tape along the part of the lid where the card
might have come in contact.)
