you want to hook them up in parallel.

it works.  i've done it.

my GS has the connectors for both a GS power supply, and a //e power
supply.  plugging both supplies in at once increases your available power
considerably, and it's a lot cheaper than buying a new power supply.

it is kind of ugly, but hey, this is an apple 2 we're talking about. 
they're _supposed_ to run with the top off.  :)
