This is from the IOMEGA ad...

21MB capacity on inexpensive 3.5" size media

New Lzser Etched Disks from Iomega - each one is a master

So, as the other guy stated, Iomega licensed the technology from Insite, then
made some changes ( I think the HOT thingy )...  Dunno if it's actually
higher performance and/or higher reliability though.
