Has anyone been successful in getting FLIGHT SIMULATOR II to work on a
ZipGSX accelerated Apple IIGS.
Here is the problem. Although I am successful in getting the program
to boot from my 5.25 drive on my IIGS, it runs too fast.
The first thing I did was to set the System Speed to NORMAL. This
succeeds in slowing it down, but the speed of the Zip Chip still makes
the program run too fast.
When I try and turn off the Zip Chip by going to the IIGS text control
panel and quit from the control panel, my 5.25 drive starts to run
(it's not supposed to) and every thing is hung up.
I feel that if I could turn off my Zip Chip before "booting" FLIGHT
SIMULATOR II, everything would work as it should, however, if I do
turn it off from the control panel, when I boot the FLIGHT SIMULATOR
II, I find that the Zip is back up to 100% if I look at the control
panel -- which action of course, hangs the program upon exit.
Can I turn my ZipChip off another way?
In my */SYSTEM/CDEV folder I have a file:
=============
ZipGS.CDEV a CDV
In my */SYSTEM/SYSTEM.SETUP I have the files:
=====================
ZipInt a TIF
ZipTalk a PIF
ZTInitZ a ATK (I believe that this is an old file)
Can I temporarily disable one or more of the above files so that when
I boot my HD the Zip will be off?
Who has been successful with FSII on the IIGS?
Who can give me some sound ideas so that I can use FSII on my IIGS
