Shreve seems to have stuff in stock, and at good prices (for th most
part). Their 'customer service' also seemed very friendly and helpful.
When my other GS died, I checked around... Sun Remarketing advertises
GS motherboards for $199 (no exchange required) but said they were
back-ordered for 4 to 6 weeks (same with complete GS systems at $399).
Alltech would not sell me a GS motherboard without exchange, and
would not give me a firm price on a GS system (only a "somewhere
around the $400 range").
Shreve gave me the whole CPU deal (keyboard, mouse, etc..) for only
$379 and had in stock and shipped the same day.
[My only compaint is that the power cord they sent is some sort of
monitor cable instead of an outlet cable, but I suspect it is an
honest mistake.]
