There are the same as those in a // or //+.

The Ace 1000 is Apple //+ compatible.

Good luck - I have them all but since I have two children who still use the
Franklin, I'm not ready to get rid of them yet. Perhaps some other kind soul
would be willing to part with theirs.

Are you kidding? I'll give you double that for it right now.

Don't think so - I believe that Apple Inc. sued them into oblivion. BTW: the
name is Franklin Computer Corporation. Ace 1000 is the model name.

Slot 3 is for 80 col cards. Slot 0 is for memory expansion. An Apple //e
64k extended 80 col card will NOT work in the Franklin since it lacks the
//e's auxiliary memory slot.

64K

Franklins are truly rugged and dependable machines. Mine has been in service
for 10 years and ran 24 hours/day for 4 of those years (old pirate BBS back in
the good ole days). They were/are much better machines than the //+'s that
they were cloned from. They came with 64K onboard ( as opposed to 48K for the
//+), had a numeric keypad, upper/lower case, built-in cooling fan, heavier
power supply and several other advantages over the //+ - and cost less too!
Mind you, I still paid over $1400.00 for mine in '83 (CPU only). BTW: except
for a couple of machine ID bytes, the ROMs are an EXACT copy of the ones in
the //+ so it is 99.99% compatible (unlike the Laser clones).
