Hi,

  The "Alert! Alert!" message is a cute (not) feature of the GS.Spy.2 INIT.
This INIT yells at you when you try to format, erase, or obliterate stuff on
a disk.  If you hit RETURN or ENTER after this, the INIT will let you continue
with the formatting, etc.  Hitting ESC supposedly boots you back to the Finder.
If GS.Spy.2 crashes after you hit ESC, you may want to try reinstalling it.
