Re: Printer Port Control Panel Settings

In general, when printing from BASIC, or from any program that uses
either the Pascal or Basic entry points in the firmware, and doesn't
change the settings itself.

There is a note in the firmware manual which says that the Pascal
firmware always assumes the application will supply line feeds, so it
ignores the control panel setting for 'Add LF after CR'. You can
re-enable the auto line feed feature by sending the three character
sequence: Control-I 'L' 'E' before writing any further text (assuming
the GS/OS driver hasn't disabled command recognition).

Note: the Control-I character is only valid if the port is set to
'Printer' mode. If it is set to 'Modem' mode, use Control-A instead.
