Well, now that I've finally managed to get my system working well enough
that I can download .SHK files, I have no objection to going totally .SHK
on ccosun, although I think a section should be added to the FAQ giving
advice on downloading .SHK files on machines that only have 7-bit Kermit
transfers (like the one here at the UCSB Microcomputer Lab).
Also, I agree that sound files should be allowed on ccosun, but I think
uploading massive archives containing dozens of sounds is stupid. Each
archive should contain a single sound, should be named descriptively, and,
somehow, should be categorized and/or rated, so that people don't waste
their time downloading garbage.
