As far as I know, it is still okay to purchase things from Zip Technology,
chapter 11 is simply protection from creditors, and I do believe they
were out of chapter 11 for a while during the past 2 years.  The last
I've heard is that Zip has found a new manufacture/contractor for
the Zip Chip 8 Mhz for the IIe, but it's not a trivial matter to
start the production process, so they'll need about 4 month to restart.
All in all, I think rumor of this sort can really help destroy a company
(I am not placing blame on you, of course, and this is not a flame of any-
kind, since I know you are trying to help a fellow user make a wise
investment decision :-), and the last I've heard is that the NAUG writer
had a miscommunications with the CEO of Zip Tech (Debra), and they
printed some statements that were false.

Think of this as the old "oh no, inCider/A+ has change their format
for good, and gone Macintosh" travesty of a couple of month back :-)
