I just read on GEnie that this is not the case. Zip has been in
Chapter 11 for two years and has been out of Chapter 11 for about four
months. Being in Ch. 11 does not mean the company is out of business,
rather it provides protection from creditors while a company
reorganizes.

When rumors such as the above are propagated, who do you think loses?
Zip Technology, obviously. And we the Apple II users do as well
because false indications of bankruptcy cause us to stop purchasing,
which can lead to the said company actually going under. I hope you
meant to be informative, but the rumor was also posted on GEnie and
printed by the NAUG (National Apple Users Group) which has a history
of printing misinformation regarding the Apple II.

Those posting the correct information on GEnie are people who I
consider to be level-headed people who have shown in the past to be
reliable.

Let's hope Zip stays in business.
